Configuring a Trunk

This example illustrates how to create a trunk using port 25 on each of two smart switches.

  1. By default all ports on the belong to VLAN 01. If you have changed your VLANs, you may need to change them again to accommodate trunking. A trunk can only contain ports that have common VLANs, and port 25 will share a trunk with port 24. Therefore, you must make sure that both ports 24 and 25 belong to all of the same VLANs.

  2. In the , select Trunking:

  3. On the Trunk Setting page, select Enable next to trunk ID 04 and select port 25. Then click Apply:

  4. Repeat steps 1–3 to configure trunking on the second .

  5. Connect the ports on both switches using an ethernet cable.
